The TAO 2002 Spring Meeting at The Greenbrier Resort April 25 - 28, 2002

The three ophthalmic societies of Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia are holding their spring educational meeting at the Greenbrier. Located in White Sulphur Springs, WV, the Greenbrier offers some of the finest golf in the world amid spectacular beauty. The food is unsurpassed and the luxury of this world-class hotel is legendary.

Lodging Reservations

If you are going to be at the meeting and plan to stay at The Greenbrier (or an alternate hotel), we urge you to make your room reservations right away because rooms will sell out early. For all information on making your room reservation at The Greenbrier, go to https://www.greenbrier.com or call 800-675-1287 and reference the West Virginia - Kentucky - Tennessee meeting. The room rate at The Greenbrier includes a full breakfast and a seven-course dinner. Lunch is separate and on your own. There are several restaurants at the hotel, including one at the golf club. Additionally, there is a $25 per person charge for newspapers, maid service, etc. on top of the room rate. You also need to be aware that the room rate is per person, not per room.

Meeting rates for the standard rooms are:
  • Double (you and one other person): $266 - per person
  • Single (staying in a room by yourself) $498
    All rates include Full Breakfast and Seven-Course Dinner

Alternate Lodging

If you do not wish to stay at The Greenbrier, there are several small motels in the town of Lewisburg, which is 10-15 minutes from White Sulphur Springs, and one small hotel in White Sulphur Springs itself.

Golf & Tennis

If you plan to play golf or tennis, please make arrangements with the Golf Pro and/or the Tennis Pro. If you are staying at the Greenbrier, the applicable fees will be posted to your room. If you are stay at one of the alternative hotels and wish to play golf or tennis, you can make reservations with the applicable Pro Shop and pay by credit card.
